MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

HELD ON WEDNESDAY 2ND AUGUST AT

THE FOX DEN STOKE GIFFORD

1)    WELCOME AND CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

TM welcomed everyone to the meeting and tabled his annual report.  The two main events namely the Golf Day and Annual Dinner had been well attended, enjoyed by all.  In particular it was a pleasure to welcome Bruce and Jan Bannister.

2)    MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING – Approved.

 3)    TREASURER’S REPORT 

CF submitted the accounts for year end and answered the few questions from those present.  TM thanked CF for the explanations and the precise way in which the accounts had been prepared for submission to HMRC.  TM and MB will sign off to enable the accounts to be sent to HMRC. 

4)    ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS

All officers and committee members were re-elected en bloc.  However, MB announced that she would be standing down after the FPA Annual Dinner after 7 years in the role of Secretary.  Everyone was somewhat stunned but understood her reasons for the decision.

TM wished his comments to be recorded in these Minutes – “Your contribution and input over the last 7 years has been immense and totally invaluable as has your energy and commitment”

5)    WEBSITE RE-DESIGN UPDATE

Since the last AGM the website had been re-designed with the expert help of Rob Pendleton and re-launched as “Bristol Rovers FPA.org”.  TM is now maintaining the site after some tuition from MB’s daughter, Lesley.
